Trend: Animal Head

15/12/2016

Before we noticed, animal head is taking over many designer brands. We must say that Gucci and Kenzo are very successful as both brands create their own iconic “Tigher Head”, one is mainly used as embroidered design, and the other is a more graphical pattern.

Stella McCartney is also a fan of Tiger Head, and her love of using animal patterns spread to swans, cats, dogs, and birds for the following collection. Stella’s design has always brought a soft approach with some playful and girly element. On the contrary, Saint Laurnet’s choice of animals has gone more “wild”, as Sharks and Dinosaures appeared on the brand’s T-shirt & Parka.

There are also some designers that explore other possibilities of animal head including MCQ’s graphic rabbit skull print and Marc Jacobs’ laser-eyed cat head.
